The game today has been postponed, with rain falling and in the forecast for the next day in Detroit. No make-up date has been announced.
Tune into Yankee Fan Club Radio this and every Sunday. The show tonight starts at 6 EDT, and I’ll be on around 6:30 EDT.

Hi Jason,
I just listened to the show from last night. Once again you did a great job. I loved the response to the David Wells question. Very funny, a minus four. I have to say the guys on the show are really great to listen to.
Thanks for the kind words the other day. I will have internet access on the island, but working seven days a week will not give me much time for anything. The tourists dictate how long you stay open, and it’s always late.

Thanks for the kind words, Joe. They do a very good job on YFCR, and the conversations are always very lively.

Thanks, Dianna. Even considering Wells is sheer folly to me. The guy is well, WELL past his prime. The Yankees–or more specifically the Steinbrenners–need to stop thinking about what I’d call talisman signings, bringing back people from when the Yankees won World Series as if their having won rings alone will somehow rub off on other, newer players. The idea is to have good, effective players, not selfish slobs like Wells who is the antithesis of a good example for the kids. Sorry Dave, I appreciate your terrific late 1990s stint a ton. But those days are long gone for you.
