Don’t Overlook the “D”

I posted last night that I thought that the Yanks’ pitching has been a subtle strength of this team even with some significant injuries (Bruney and Albaladejo worth adding to the aforementioned Wang, Hughes, and Kennedy).  Also worth mentioning is the Yankees’ defense.  While the team may have some issues with arms in left and steady defense at first, it’s easy to overlook that the Yanks have the second-lowest error total in the AL with 50, putting them second in fielding percentage with .986.  That’s pretty impressive and, like the solid pitching the Yanks have had, cause for some optimism.
