Game 141: Rays @ Yankees, 9/9/09

Below, as per Pete Abraham, are tonight’s lineups. Brett the Jet plays center, with Melky getting a well-earned rest, and Molina catches for Jorge, who gets an equally well-deserved rest. The Yanks look to go a season-high 41 games over .500, and to get a good start from Joba, whose recent work has been subpar regardless of his bromides to the contrary. Hopefully Jeter can put at least a dent in the remaining four hits to break the great Lou Gehrig’s hit mark for the team. Keep it rolling and get the sweep, guys. Enjoy the game, everyone.

  1. Lets hope for a sweep tonight.

They say Joba is going 4 innings I guess this started when I was in Germany I don’t like it at all. What the hell is the point of 4 innings its playing in to the other teams hands.

    Anyway Go Yankees

  2. Hey Nick. You’ve been here more than I have. 🙂

That little bastard Bartlett homered again.

  3. Jeter bunted for a single. I bet Mike has mixed feelings about that.
