Game 146: Blue Jays @ Yankees, 9/15/09

Below, as per Pete Abraham, is the Yanks’ lineup.  The Yanks look to go a season-high 42 games above .500, and send out their A-unit (Gardner for Melky; still strong) versus Halliday, who one-hit the Yanks the last time they faced him in Toronto.  Hopefully the results are considerably better tonight, both for the team’s sake and also because Meat Tray starts tonight.  Call me crazy–and I might be–but my gut tells me that Meat Tray might pitch like Mitre and may keep the Yanks in the game tonight.  Either way, it can’t hurt to hope, and hope is free.  Pettite has had some shoulder soreness and will get a few extra days of rest, though he said he threw a bullpen and felt fine.  Enjoy the game, everyone.
